Oranges recipe 2

MEGAN'S WINTER WELLNESS JUICE

2 large or 3 medium carrots

1 orange

piece of turmeric, about 3cm

piece of ginger, about 3cm

1 grapefruit

½ lemon or lime

1 heaped teaspoon honey

 

Peel all the fruit and veges and chop to the size of your juicer shoot. Juice them all and pour into a glass.  Warm up the honey in a pot so it melts and stir into the juice.  Makes just one glass.

MEGAN'S NOTES:

Citrus and carrots are both rich sources of immune-boosting Vitamin C.  Ginger helps to soothe digestion and muscle soreness.  Turmeric is nature’s anti-inflammatory superhero, containing a compound called curcumin that has potent anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties.
