Full question:
I would like to purchase some Lucerne Chaff with no seeds so I can use it in my strawberry raised bed. Can you provide a link to what I should use?
Our response:
Lucerne chaff shouldn’t have any seeds in it because it gets cut around 4 times a year before it flowers.
We purchase our lucerne chaff from a horse feed supplies place. Your local one should stock it, even if means a drive into the countryside!
Ask for last year’s lucerne chaff, if they have any, as it’s always much cheaper.
Hope that helps.
